Further to the announcement on Monday from the FA regarding small group training sessions, the NVJFC Committee do not support the resumption of training under the proposed conditions.
This decision has been made on the basis that:
1. The guidance specifies that hand washing/hygiene must be available before and after training (this is not easily achievable yet without access to facilities).
2. Training facilities are yet to re-open and when they do we expect there to be changes in operating procedures to support social distancing. (Each facility is yet to confirm their approach).
3. Football training should be fun, progressive and made available to all players at the same time (not limited to small groups, limited activities and no contact play).
4. Additional complications due to lack of funding (as we are not collecting subs) and uncertainty around club/player insurance.
Please rest assured, we are continuously monitoring the latest developments and as soon as we feel it is safe for training to resume we will let you know immediately.
