Skin of a rhino and the soul of an angel ! We lost today 5 - 1 away to Northwich Victoria and I want to dwell on what went well rather than what didn’t. No excuses Vics played very well - they are a quality side. But we had Evan, Callum and Olly who weren’t feeling well. Poor Evan had to come off and Callum was throwing up at the side of the pitch and Olly played with a back injury. But after a disastrous first half when the attitude was all wrong the team were much better in the second half and I was really proud of them. I was so pleased to see Liam put that ball in the net but I think the score line over shadows what a cool and skilled finish that was by Liam - well done mate.

There were some individuals who played like Lions today and they know who they are - the good news is we play Vics again at home next week - we will be strong, our attitude will be right and they will face a different team. As I have said a few times this season you don’t always get your own way in football - proper football is not just about winning it’s how you react to getting beaten - and beaten well. We are lucky to have an incredible bunch of lads and we will recover from this - you watch !!
