Youth Cup Win 4 - 0
(Brian Roberts 07/10/2018)
Cheshire FA County Cup (Youth Cup). Four Nil win against Northwich Victoria Under 18s
Three goals from Ellis and one from Owen gave us a great win in this early round of the cup. No ‘rolling’ subs so the approach to the game was slightly different. What pleased me most about this performance was the fact that we controlled the game for ninety minutes. Every player looked convincing and confident and when Vics did eventually manage to break through our back line Dylan was there for us with two world class saves. I felt sorry for their defence at times with Oliver muscling his way past them on the right and Ellis ‘burning them off’ on the left – but it was beautiful to watch. Sean almost got his debut goal with a deft chip over the keeper and our Ellis was there to help it across the line. Owen has deserved a goal all season and he got his rewards from a nice set piece.
Special shout out to Charlie who played the first half for us – you are such a legend and we won’t forget what you do for us. While Ellis will rightly get lots of plaudits for his performance and three goals it couldn’t have done it with such a brill team of mates across the whole park.
