A BLUE DAY FOR THE REDS

(Andy Forbes 02/11/2018)
Witton Albion U15 Parents Albion AFC was reborn in the form of the traditional blue vs red format on Friday evening. A slovenly bunch of Man U, Leeds, Everton, Liverpool, Derby, Man C rejects presented themselves for a grudge blue vs red match in front of almost 4 fans. Only the beautiful Forest shirts met the manager's approved list of club kits (approved list is available on request).

Disaster struck for the reds in the first half as Dan H smartly lobbed the calamity-prone manager-keeper, who then compounded it by passing straight to Witton Albion Parents top scorer Jimmy, who lobbed the hapless custodian from his own half. Following another goal from possibly Jack not sure because it was all so fast an exasperated Martin-the-goalie-coach forcibly removed the gloves. No more goals were conceded from then on with Darren and Tom A blocking the onrushing Tyler time and time again.

The Blues midfield, seemingly only comprising the evergreen Alun G and Theo, set up attack after attack as Martin H raided purposefully down the left channel. The chief, almost at boiling point, raided forward with the help of Thomas and Tommy C but found no charity from the expert stopper Elliot J and despite a series of blatant but karmaa-like unsuccessful cheats from the manager the Blues ran out winners.
