U16 (1989) Runners Up At 'Kick Off @ 3' Tournament
(Howard Crompton 14/04/2019)
Thanks to all those who attended at the Halton Stadium in Widnes on Saturday the 13th April for the 'Kick Off @ 3' Tournament organised by Cheshire Police. It was a little slow getting going, and at one point I thought we had come to play two 10 minute games! However, in our group one loss, one bye and a win saw us through to the semi-finals as runners up. In the semi, beating the winners of the other group on penalties - two cracking penalties scored by Tom and Owen and a spectacular save from Dylan - saw us through to the final!
Unfortunately, although we were the better side in the final, lady luck was on the opposition side, and we lost 1-0. The boys conducted themselves brilliantly and were a credit to Witton Juniors.
