Witton U16 stalwart Keegan qualified as an FA-approved referee after a gruelling course at FA Headquarters last week.

After effusive congratulations from the squad at Monday training, followed by a little briefing on the football law changes by the new man in (Man City) black, the manager was ecstatic in his praise: "fantastic effort and hard work won the the day for Keegan".

Although the Albs manager will probably realise (at some point) that Keegan cannot play and referee for Witton at the same time, this is a great addition to the ranks of FA approved referees.

This new referee is now available to conduct a great game, so get in contact with the grumpy manager as soon as possible.
