Grappenhall White
(Steve Comboy 11/11/2019)
This weekend we welcomed Grappenhall to Moss Farm for the return fixture from the weekend prior. Conditions at Moss Farm were exceptional given the weather of late.
Last weeks result, whilst convincing was more about the chances we didn't convert so this week we discussed our finishing. True to form in the first half the lads produced the goods. This week we were converting the chances which last week we missed and our half team lead of 8-0 whilst harsh on the opposition was worthy.
A number of changes at half time and numerous position changes allowed us to take a more relaxed approach to the second half.
Grappehnall had some good spells in the second half and they converted a penalty which was questionable. Sam also made a good save from a free kick and then an excellent of the line save from close range.
Grappenhalls dubious penalty was the only goal in the second half up until the 62nd minute when Joe scored a lovely individual goal. Soon after Tom Ball scored to round off his excellent hat trick and give us the overall 10-1 win and as daft as it may seem the second half win.
Some wonderful individual performances of note today, none more so than Ewan with his first hat trick for the club and the Parents player award.
Goal scorers today: Ewan Buckley (3) Tom Ball (3) Charlie Lam (1) Charlie Keeney (1) Joe Buckley (1) Harvey Latter (1)
Managers player this week was Charlie Lam for his faultless mid field display.
Two cup games to follow but a very healthy 9 point clear at the top, well done fella's
