Wolves V Winsford Colts 10/11/19
(Riz Mansoor 11/11/2019)
Match Report by Rich Prescott
After the last match, where we suffered a defeat I have seen the boys train hard the last two fridays. Riz, Mike and Paul have been working hard on the boys space awareness and passing game.
This morning the game was away to Winsford where we have previously had some good matches where the result has gone both ways. We knew we were in for a hard game as Winsford beat Barnton last week who of course beat ourselves in our last game.
The boys played a very well organised game and pass and move practiced in training was evident to see, with the back four passing out into space allowing the midfield to have more control of the game. The defence held firm along with a confident Charlie A at the back.
The midfield was strong and determined allowing the runs from the front players, Kian/Nicky into space. Luca had some great runs on the left and scored one of the goals.
Kian also scored a great header after a super cross from Jack A, which started with some fantastic build up play starting in the back four. Two further goals from Charlie and Fraser finished the game giving us a well deserved win.
After a couple of indifferent performances and unfortunate results, the boys played really well today and was a pleasure to watch: Well done to all of you
Goals
Kian, Jack A, Fraser and Luca.
