Cuddington V Wolves Cup Game 17/11/19
(Riz Mansoor 17/11/2019)
It was a difficult game for the Wolves as they played first div Cuddington.
The first half was promising form the boys, they played some outstanding football which was a pleasure to watch. The boys struggled to keep up to pace with a couple of their players who were a difference class.
The first half ended 4-1 to Cuddington, we’ll done to Charlie B for his goal!
Today’s game was eye opener for the Wolves, i believe they gained some valuable experience and hopefully it will drive the boys to the best they can, by putting in the effort on the training ground and in their own time if they want to compete at the top.
The second half we struggled as Cuddington started to grow in confidence, they scored another 7 goals and by this point the boys had enough. Well done to all the boys that continued playing to the end and never gave up!
Tactically, I changed the formation mid way through the second half by reducing our defence and cramming the midfield, as we seemed to be loosing play in the mid third and also it was a more or less go for it moment!
It didn’t work and we had players having to play out of position which also didn’t help.
Overall, the boys showed some outstanding football today in spells of the game. Credit to Cuddington who showed great sportsmanship by reducing their team to ten players to try let our lads gain some momentum, but by this point the Wolves had had enough.
