Who is the fairest of them all?
Witton Albion U11's have been voted Fair Play team of the year for the second season in a row. Correspondents were a-buzz as to the reasons for the nomination as the team have the grumpiest manager in the league and a coach who was sensationally sent off by the ref's mum earlier in the season.
Supporters of rival clubs were equally perplexed, with a certain Mr Doughnut of Macclesfield outraged that his nemesis was being rewarded.
Despite the nettle-chewing naysayers, the reasons were clear. A team of players who played the game and respected the refs, supportive and fun parents and an ethos in the club to play the right way.
Well done boys! We are proud of you!
